Hey everyone,
As you may already be aware, Ace Armstrong vs. the Alien Scumbags! went out at $6.99 upon its release on the SCEA PSN Store on September 7th. We're happy to say that we'll be offering a reduction to a much more generous $5.99 in the near future. Early communication with our friends at SCEA 28th September.
The minute we have solid confirmation on the date the amendment will take place, I'll do a new blog post to let you all know.
I'll be posting some Ace Armstrong high scores for you guys to try and beat later on today, plus we'll be doing a competition to see who can achieve the best scores once the SCEE version goes live, so watch this space.
More news on those high scores and an update on the SCEE launch details later on this afternoon.
Cheers for now!

Hi everyone,
A good day for blog readers today I think.
Not only have we announced our great forthcoming PSN Minis titles based on the epic ‘Fighting Fantasy’ Choose Your Own Adventure game books, we’re also giving away...
(.(.***FREE STUFF!!!1111!***.).)
To help us kick start our brand new Laughing_Jackal Twitter page we want you guys to follow us, but we wouldn’t ask for help and not give anything back in return, right?
So, with the spirit of altruism in mind, we’re giving you the chance to win a free copy of our great rhythm action game, Vibes (PSN Minis) for your PSP/PS3. Here’s how you can win:
-
If you don’t have one already, create a Twitter Account.
-
Choose to Follow Laughing_Jackal.
-
Retweet our message containing the tag ‘#vibescomp’.
-
Cross your fingers and wait for the competition draw to close this coming Wednesday at 5:30pm GMT.
Easy huh?
Once again, the competition will close on Wednesday 8th September 2010 at 17:30hrs GMT. Once the competition closes we’ll randomly select 15 of our ‘retweeting’ followers and issue them with redemption codes for the game. Roll up and the very best of luck.
Please note that the redemption codes will expire on Friday 10th September so you’ll need to claim before then. Also note that, unfortunately, the competition only applies to the SCEE territory.
The very best of luck to everyone and we’ll announce the winners on Thursday morning at 10am GMT.
Thanks for now!

Hello again - back so soon?
OK, left a bit of a hint on Friday, but we've got a great new game to announce, which will be available on PSN Minis (for PSP and PS3) in Q1 next year.
We’ve just signed up the rights to our first licensed Minis title, based on Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone’s legendary ‘Fighting Fantasy’ series of Choose Your Own Adventure game books. We’ve just started work on it in terms of game design and art style, but the project’s still some time away. More news once content, release dates and pricing as and when we know more.
As long time fans of the series we’re really excited to have netted the license. We’re trying to stick as closely as we can to the original formula of the games – we don’t want to upset fans of the existing products! However, we have added some features of our own into the design to reflect the change in format from book to handheld – all of which I’m sure you’ll be pleased with.
That's really it for now. Watch this space for more Fighting Fantasy news in the near future, including details on the first game we have lined up. Hopefully there will be more books to come after that!
Right, I am off to eat some Provisions and try to increase my Initial STAMINA. ;-)
Bye!
